Sleepy Stripes

Wow! Just right. The bright, vibrant colors are beautiful and photo-genic, but that’s just the first layer of artistry in this picture. The diagonal stripes and gentle, undulating wrinkles are perfectly positioned compositionally. ( I like the blue band bisecting the frame, too.) Those diagonal lines of subject slam into the three horizontal zones of focus. You’ve got the soft foreground, the tack-sharp middle zone, and the blurred background. Each of those focal zones has a shadow dancing across it. Perfect color, perfect DoF, perfect composition. Again, Wow!
