House 2.0 Roommate Ad
Aileen, Amit, Isuru and Luke are looking for a fifth roommate to complete our friendly, open, fun, creative living environment in Manhattan known has House 2.0
We have a room available as soon as you’d like to move in.
We have diverse interests, friends, and jobs, and enjoy learning from each other. We’re all in our mid 20’s, and while we often hang out together, we also respect each other’s privacy. As a (mostly) vegetarian household that shares most of our food, we often cook together and usually have snacks from all over the world lying around the house. House guests staying for a night (or several) are common and welcomed. We’re building a small community here. Don’t apply if you’re just looking for a cheap room in a great apartment. Do apply if you’re looking for a comfortable, friendly oasis in New York City.
You should be down-to-earth, good at living with others, excited about cooking with people, vegetarian or close to it, creative, honest, and open to trying new things. There is no smoking in our house, and we want to have a pet cat or small dog.
We reside in a spacious loft in midtown, with a large common room condusive to socializing, partying, and movie watching. We have a large and much-loved kitchen/dining area, two bathrooms, and access to a cool roof. We are one block from Bryant Park and close to every subway imaginable. (See the map)
The cost for your medium-sized room will be $1100 + your share of utilities and food, and the occasional party, if you’d like to partake. The room has a large closet, and fits comfortably a Queen size bed, desk and lounge chair.
Check us out online (photos, blog), and write us with your interest and information if you think you’re the one. We’ve got something pretty good going here, and we’re going to be picky, but if you’re a good person and we sound like we’d be a good fit, you just might be the one.

Damn - I wish I lived in New York…that sounds so freaking ideal.
found one!
the crazy, party, will-be-shrink Annie K will be our roommate.
umm…you realize you guys are breaking the fair housing act right? (Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968) You guys might want to change the blog so it doesn’t specify a girl to protect yourselves.

By jove, you may be right. The thought never even crossed my mind! Listing changed!
Also of note, Craigslist was just sued for allowing this kind of posting:

newspaper cartels hiding behind housing lawyers are the bane of our existance.
