nice. I just talked to him. it’s a d bed conv to 5 or even 6. He’s going to try and arrange a showing for me tomorrow. sounds like it could be good!
this is the shiznet. we’re seriously considering getting this place!!
amit and i just got back from looking at it. it’s HUGE. got lots of common space that can be delineated to three+ separate spacious hang-out areas:
* TV/lounge - large
** kitchen area - can maybe out a dining table there
*** space to the side of the TV/lounge area. current tenants have a table (with a bong on it).
+foyer/vestibule
space is great for mingling/hosting/chilling.
the bedrooms are quite large as well. queen size bed, many dressers, computer table, bookshelves.
one room in particular is very large (almost as big as my current 2-room apt), and we were thinking it could be split into two (railcar style, or not).
or we could separate out the [***] space and make it into a room.
(one of the current 4 rooms was also put up by the guys who are living there now).
location’s excellent in terms of accessibility. not a great area (smack dab in the middle of midtown), but the city is ours if we live here.
the broker’s cut is high at 12%, but at such a low rent, we don’t care.
there are grave concerns as well. amit will follow up on those.
Have you guys posted any pictures of the apartment?
