Talked to Zoe today and I think she could be a really good fit. She’s driving across the country this month and will be arriving in nyc around the 23rd. Her max rent is 900, she’s veggie, and there are more details in the db. We’re going to try and set up a meeting just before she gets in. Isuru, I gave her your number since I’m going to be out of the country from the 18th to the 25th.
Pasting her email so you guys have more context.

Hi there,
I am interested in the room share you posted about on craigslist. I’m a 26-year-old girl. I’m originally from Manhattan, but I’ve been living in California for the past few years both for work (as a film industry assistant) and school (a BA in modern literature). I’m a non-smoker and a vegetarian (but I don’t mind living with meat-eaters at all), and I have a small, quiet and housetrained dog named Francis that I’ll be moving with — he gets along well with most people and animals, and he is beloved by all who meet him.
I’ll be starting an MFA program in film at Columbia in September and working full time all summer. I am still in California right now — I’m leaving for New York in a few weeks, and will be arriving via car during the latter half of June. I know you guys are interested in having a meeting with potential housemates, but perhaps we could chat on the phone initially? I can also send pictures of my dog and myself, so it will almost seem like I’m there!
More about me: My favorite activities (besides hanging out with my dog) include going out with friends, seeing bands play, going to the gym, reading, walking around the city, going to museums, and the occasional dip into celeb gossip. I’m generally a mature, politically progressive person with a good sense of humor. I am conscientious about keeping common areas clean and tidy, although I am sometimes prone to clutter in my own room. I like to cook, read, work, and hang out at home and I think it’s important to spend time at home with housemates in order to maintain a positive house environment, but I’m also pretty social — not a couch potato or a bedroom potato.
Your room share project sounds really great to me because I am hoping with all my heart to find a place to live in Manhattan — I would really like to be on the Lower East Side/East Village or somewhere in that vicinity. Because I’m going to be on a graduate student budget, I would ideally like to spend no more than $1000/month for rent and utilities combined. I know this is at the low end of the Manhattan rent spectrum, but I have high hopes! As long as I can find a safe place for my dog and I, with trustworthy housemates, I would be happy to rock a twin bed and one of those Ikea freestanding wardrobes.
I would love to talk with you either on the phone or over email about your room share, as well as to answer any questions you have about me. I think I could be a good fit for your group, and I hope to hear back from you soon!
Thanks for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Zoe
