House 2.0

Amit and Isuru decided to gather a group of cool, creative, down-to-earth people to live together in Manhattan. Both have had the opportunity to live in amazingly creative and nurturing environments while in college: Amit at a granola co-op called “The Zü”, and Isuru at an artsy house called “Marsh”. Now out of college and in New York City, they want to re-create some of what made those places so special.

The purpose of this blog is amorphous. At first, it may serve as a repository for roommate and apartment candidates, thoughts, and ideas for building the community inside our new house. Later, it may become a sort of “house book” where inhabitants of our house leave notes for each other (inspiration for the latter drawn from a paper book that serves a similar purpose in the house Amit now inhabits with four friends in Brooklyn.)

It’s an experiment.
