crunch week
Published by luke June 6th, 2005 in General.hi, this is a status update just to let everyone know that until next wednesday (the 15th) i’m pretty much in crunch mode for work. it wouldn’t be the true start-up experience without it. :) the last two people mentioned here, zoe + robin, both sound really cool from what they said. from what i’ve seen on craigslist if we have 5 people i think we’ll be able to find a pretty awesome place for around $1,100-ish each. i’ve seen a lot of postings for roosevelt island, but i don’t think i’m really feeling that, though. i talked to one female friend in the city yesterday who would’ve been interested if the rent were less. i have another 2 people i can talk with still.
also, something i never mentioned is that for 2 years of college i was a very active ‘on-floor’ member of rit’s computer science house, which was one of many special-interest houses (photography, art, community service, etc). a very shared-space cooperative living situation with often quite amazing (and not always pure über-geeky) people.
good luck with work.
Carl (who is one of the coolest people EVER) and I wanted to start a theme house with the symbols Gamma, Epsylon, Epsylon, Kappa that would support the kind of interests that you mention. We got shot down by College, but that did not stop Carl from becoming The Technology Fellow.
that computer science house sounds awesome. I wish we’d had one. roosevelt island is a no-go.
